With two Boxx RF Link Systems in-house, we can provide RF cameras for handheld or Steadicam use. With clip-on TX units for the cameras, and RX units and stands to be mounted at the PPU, Front of House or another location, we also have a variety of lengths of cable loom to carry 12v power and video signals back to control.
We can provide Vision Mixer inputs with any video signal required from the camera head. Our RF systems from Boxx can supply HD-SDI, SDI, component HD & SD images, and composite for preview monitoring, over variable distances upto approximately 100m working range from the receiver. With a zero frame delay, meaning that the RF camera cuts perfectly for lip sync with other cabled triax cameras, and no compression whatsoever on the video signal, this is one of the highest quality HD RF link on the current marketplace.
Various options are available, ranging from:
- Standalone RF video link
- RF video link with tally light and iris control
- RF video link with full camera telemetry via a usual Sony RCP.
(This option means that the camera can be racked and lined up with the other cabled triax cameras on a PPU or OB truck, and match other cameras perfectly)
Kit also includes a HD-SDI DA and 26-pin CCZ component breakout adapter. We also include all the useful extras, including triax to coax adapters - to enable us to use existing tie-lines or cable rigs for RF cameras. Great for studio or locations where triax runs form part of an install.
We have two Boxx RF link systems, which can be used both in low power (video assist) mode, and high power (broadcast) mode, utilising the appropriate portable or OB RX unit as applicable.
Having two links enables all kinds of configurations:- 2 RF Cameras, extended range (i.e. use of two links back-to-back to improve range or working area), or even using one link for Video from camera, and one link for Autocue/Autoscript to the camera. The possibilities are endless!
We also have a Telex Radio Comms system, with base station and upto four beltpacks, which can either be used as a standalone system or integrated into an existing camera or show comms ring. As an alternative option for OB or long range work, we also have a TecPro Simplex Motorola Comms interface kit, and Motorola radio kit, to enable Motorola Radios to be used on the comms ring.
We can also provide point-to-point links and high powered RF solutions to cover large distances, and various other RF video links of a higher power which apply the COFDM principle to gain a huge range advantage.
